Member of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
After graduating from the University of Economics in Vienna in 1995, Dejan Turk began his career at McDonald's in Slovenia as a restaurant manager where he gradually advanced to become the CEO of the McDonald's restaurant chain in Slovenia and Croatia.
He joined A1 Group in August 2004 as head of marketing and sales at A1 Slovenija (then known as Si.mobile). In August 2006, he became a board member for Marketing and Sales (CMO), and in 2007, he was appointed CEO of the company.
By 2014, he was named the CEO of A1 Serbia (formerly VIP mobile). Since 2015, he has served as the CEO/CMO of a new organizational unit comprising A1 Serbia and A1 Slovenia within the A1 Group.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dejan Turk has received numerous prestigious awards (in 2009 he received the Excel Merit Award for excellence in communications and was named Manager of the Year, and in 2013 he received an award for Exceptional Business and Entrepreneurial Accomplishments). He was also the president of the Managers’ Association of Slovenia and the president of UNICEF Slovenia. In March 2015, he received the Kapetan Miša Anastasijević award for achievements in business, management and corporate social responsibility.
On 1 June 2024, Dejan Turk assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at A1 Slovenija and A1 Hrvatska.
